Final days of 2012.

So it's the last days of 2012 and I'm pretty much looking forward to 2013 and reflecting on the year that was 2012. Anyway, seeing I have another two and a half weeks before going back to work, I'm spending time at some of my favorite places in Johannesburg. The San bar at the Sandton Sun, in Sandton.

White never looked so right!

Scareface is every fake or wannabe gangsters "bible" movie. But that's not what I wanna take about. Michelle Pfeiffer's wardrobe is the topic of today's post!

I've never been a fan of the colour white, but since seeing Michelle Pfeiffer in that white two piece suit, with her white sun hat and tinted cat eye sunglasses, I have been converted!


In fact, Sandton City went on sale yesterday and by the grace of the fashion gods I found the PERFECT white blazer! Will post pics if my new new soon!

Farewell to a pioneer. R.I.P Steve Jobs

On the 5th October 2011, previous CEO and Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs passed away whilst battling cancer. I've never been an Apple fan or even really knew who he was until a couple of months ago, but I knew the Apple brand. Aluxism is paying its respects to the late Steve Jobs because he was a pioneer, a dreamer and brilliant businessman. Steve Jobs was once a young person with dreams and ambitions like we all do,who worked hard, probably not imagining the success it would become and made his dream come true. Apple is a globally recognised brand that I looked at as a technological fashion brand. Many companies sell laptops, pc's, and mobile phones, but when the iphone come out, it changed the face of technology. When the Apple mac made its debut, it was sleek, stylish and got the job done. Most Apple products if not all have a certain design aesthetic that seems to be more desirable and physically appealing to the masses. Not to take away anything from the rest of the Apple team, because Steve Jobs was part of that amazing team that revolutionised technology and design. Apple will forever be part of you legacy.
